The Eagle Quantum Premier® (EQP) Fire and Gas Safety Controller is a fault-tolerant safety controller with an addressable loop and is further designed to provide additional operational capabilities. Compliant with NFPA 72 according to FM Approvals, the controller supports Det-Tronics flame and gas detectors as well as third-party devices. The controller is notification and release certified and can communicate with process control and communication systems.
EQP is hazardous location rated by FM, CSA, ATEX and IECEx, FM performance certified and CE marked. The result is a fire and gas safety controller that can combine smoke detection, flame detection and flammable and toxic gas detection, as well as other detection technologies for high-risk applications, in a single safety system.
UV detectors sense ultraviolet radiation but can be affected by sunlight. IR detectors measure the infrared radiation given off by carbon-based fires. Multispectrum IR detectors, meanwhile, analyze three or more infrared wavelengths simultaneously, completely eliminating false alarms caused by sunlight, arc welding, and artificial light sources.
The EQP combines smoke, flame, and gas detection technologies onto a single, fault-tolerant addressable loop that complies with NFPA 72. The system does more than just monitor hazards — it also provides certified emergency suppression/gas release management and integrates directly with process control (DCS) systems.
