Non-reclosing pressure relief device actuated by differential pressure and designed to function by the bursting of the bursting disc(s), and which is the complete assembly of installed componentsincluding, where appropriate, the bursting disc holder.
Conventional domed bursting discs shall be designed so that they burst due to tensile stresses when the bursting pressure is applied to the concave side of the bursting disc.
Flat seat
Angle Seat
Flow
This type discs shall be domed by a means sufficient to cause a permanent set such that no further plastic flow occurs initially when the bursting disc is subjected to its intended operating condition.
Reverse domed bursting discs shall be designed to function due to buckling, bending or shearingstresses when the bursting pressure is applied to the convex side of the bursting disc
In addition to the standard type rupture discs, there are also special type discs which can be produced in variable types according to engineering requirements.
Custom Solutions
Many customer applications cannot be met using standard type rupture discs. In such cases special solutions are needed. A wide range of explosion discs are available with special fittings for demanding applications such as ultra high vacuum, OEM markets, military, aerospace and many other applications.
Disc holders are not required by all standards, but most applications. The biggest advantages of using a disk holder can be listed as follows;
Simple assembly
Excellent metal-to-metal sealing
All flange standards and special designs are available
Available in a wide range of materials
Plug Type Rupture Discs
It is a two-piece unit consisting of a base flange (inlet) and a fixing flange (outlet). The flat or 30 ° angled housing surfaces of these flanges are machined to grasp the bursting discs. When mounted, the top of the disc (domed portion) protrudes from the fixing flange and is metal-to-metal sealed.
PTFE
The PTFE Sleeved holder utilizes a Teflon Encapsulated Viton O-Ring as standard. Ideal for corrosive applications and relieving the effect of product build-up.
Pre-Torque holder design allows removal of the assembly from the piping system for inspection without disturbing the seal intensity of the rupture disk.
Such holders have inlet and outlet elements which are screwed together with the bursting discs. The output element is also available in closed outlet design.
Graphite Screw Type (GST)
Designed for use with Inverted Type rupture disks. Ideal for pressure ratings from 20 psig (1.38 barg) to 1000 psig (68.97 barg).
Screw Type Holder
Screw-Type are reusable type holders available in standard 30º angel or flat seat designs.
Rupture indicators are used to provide immediate notification of rupture disc activation or disc leakage. Depending on the selected device, rupture indicators can be used to activate alarms, horns, remote warning devices, or interfere with existing control systems to ensure appropriate safety measures are taken.
BA
Re-usable Rupture Disk Burst Sensor. Over-pressure indication for rupture disk or relief valve applications
The Rupture Disk (bursting disc) Indicator or RDI Series is a simple and effective means of indicating when the process media ruptures a disk or opens a safety relief valve.
Gaskets are used to provide sealing and insulation. Sealing elements are used in leather, cork felt, lead, plastic, asbestos, paper, construction insulation and pipelines and chemical materials.
The PG Series Pipe End Covers install without tools and are meant to withstand severe weather conditions like rain, ice and snow and seals out insects, birds, nests, sand, dust and salt spray.
